Amy Bishop - Comunications Manager
Amy has been involved with footy in the US as a player and committee member since 2005. She is the original founder and the current President of the Sacramento Football Club, formed in 2009. In just its second year the Sac Footy club had 80 people playing in its inaugural recreational football league. She also plays for the Freedom and recently played against Canada at the 49th Parallel Cup in Toronto, Canada. Prior to living in Sacramento, Amy and her husband Matt lived in Washington, DC where she was involved with the Baltimore-Washington Eagles as a committee member, secretary and player. Amy has participated in 5 USAFL National Tournaments, the first being in Milwaukee in 2005 - this was also her first ever time playing footy. Amy's background is in graphic design, events management and marketing. Since moving to Sacramento, she has been working as a freelance graphic designer and before that she was the Marketing Director for a commercial real estate firm in Reston, Virginia. Amy is a Queenslander, growing up just outside of Brisbane. She first became involved with footy in Sydney with the Manly-Warringah Football Club during the 4 years she lived there prior to moving to the US.
